การใช้ Adjectives

1. ใช้กับ verb to be

John is tall.

1. ใช้กับกริยาต่อไปนี้ เป็นการบอกสภาพของประธาน: Subject + verb + Adjective

• feel, smell, sound, taste
• get, become, go, grow, look, seem, appear, lie, remain, come, turn, fall, prove

1. He looked angry.
2. He looked angrily at me.

ข้อสังเกต: กริยาเหล่านี้ถ้าไม่มีกรรมตามมาข้างหลังใช้ adj. แต่ถ้ามีกรรมตามหลังใช้ adv.

1. เป็นการบอกสภาพ ของกรรม Subject + verb + object + adj. ได้แก่ find, make, think, consider, like, want, prefer

I like coffee hot.

I find it difficult to learn English.

4. ขยาย noun วางไว้หน้า noun

John is a tall man.

1. ขยาย indefinite pronoun วางไว้หลัง pronoun ตัวที่ขยาย

someone somebody something anyone anybody anything

no one nobody nothing everyone everybody everything

another other etc.

There’s something wrong.

There’s no one happy.
